Hometown Hero Returns to Headline Harvest Celebration
From troubled youth to decorated US Marine, hometown hero returns to inspire
MANSFIELD — From troubled youth to decorated United States Marine, Micah Adkison, son of the late Harrel Adkison and Connie Adkison of Lubbock, returns to Mansfield to share a message of redemption and thanksgiving in two services at Gateway Mansfield’s Harvest Celebration, Sunday, November 19th.
These services featuring former Major Adkison will be followed by a large Thanksgiving dinner at the church, featuring smoked turkeys, brisket and all the trimmings.
Pastor Bruce Edwards describes the church as “a warm and welcoming community of folks who love Jesus and our neighbors, and we want everyone to have an inspiring and wonderful Thanksgiving.” Everyone is welcome, and a nursery will be provided.
