First baby of New Year at Methodist Mansfield
The New Year brought Mansfield a new resident at 12:51 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2014. Asha Sharma gave birth to a baby boy, Shivam Sharma, at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center at 12:51 a.m. Weighing in at 4 pounds 12 ounces, and 18 inches long, Shivam was delivered by Dr. Aungel Evans.
Arun Sharma along with his sister and brother were thrilled to welcome him to the family. Mr. and Mrs. Arun Sharma are residents of Arlington. The new parents received a stuffed animal, toys and a new book, to help Shivam get a head start on reading as part of the Read to Me program. All babies born at Methodist Mansfield receive a new baby book provided by the Methodist Mansfield, Mansfield Sunrise Rotary and Mansfield Independent School District to help them get a head start on reading.
